Dr. Patricia Haskins, DVM, MS
Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Patricia Haskins was born and raised in Franklin County, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science from Ferrum College before attending the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. There she completed her Master of Science in infectious diseases and then graduated in 2009 from the College of Veterinary Medicine.
During vet school, she worked at the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services with the state veterinarian. This opportunity led her to the Lynchburg Livestock Market where she met her husband. They currently reside in Chatham, VA on the farm raising beef cattle, their sons, and two rescue dogs Pokey and Daisy.
Dr. Haskins has a special interest in dermatology, preventative healthcare, and hospice care. Observing pets in their home allows her to not only build relationships with pets and their owners in a more relaxed setting, but also ensures that recommendations and treatments are appropriate for their lifestyle.
Dr. Haskins is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (VMA), the Virginia VMA, the Piedmont VMA, and the Veterinary Information Network. She is currently working towards her fear free certification to ensure that each pet has the best experience possible.
